HOW TO KNOW THE VERSION
Before you start, check the system program version of your FANTOM-6 / FANTOM-7 / FANTOM-8.
- Press [ MENU ] to invoke the MENU screen.
- Touch < SYSTEM >.
- Turn the [ E1 ] FUNCTION knob to select INFO.
The display changes to the INFO screen and the version information is shown.

- KEYBOARD SAMPLE / MULTISAMPLE functions are provided.
- A MICROSCOPE EDIT function has been added to the sequencer.
- An AUTOMATION function has been added to PIANO ROLL EDIT.
- A MARKER function has been added to SCENE CHAIN.
- A SWAP function has been added to SCENE CHAIN.
- TFX has been added to MAIN BUS.
- Input MFX has been added to AUDIO IN.
- A ZONE OUT ASSIGN screen has been added.
- A WALLPAPER function has been added.
- A display function for the LIST screen has been added to SCENE CHAIN.
- COPY, SWAP, and INT functions for SET have been added to SCENE CHAIN.
- ZOOM EDIT is now selectable for MFX, IFX, and TFX.
- ZOOM EDIT is now selectable for DRUM KIT EDIT.
- Five types of ASSIGN parameters have been added to the S1 through S3 buttons.
- ADVANCED has been added to ZONE INT/EXT CONTROL.
- Transpose settings for each respective ZONE have been added.
- KBD SAMPLE is now also selectable in FACTORY RESET, BACKUP, and RESTORE operations.
The following bug was fixed.
- In SCENE CHAIN, information fails to be displayed correctly when a SCENE is deleted from a SET.

Support for Sound Content Distributed Via Roland Cloud
Installation of Sound Pack and Wave Expansion distributed through Roland Cloud is supported.
* Sound Pack and Wave Expansion are sound content usable on products equipped with the ZEN-Core Synthesis System.

[ Additional Functions ]
The following bugs were fixed.
- Roland Cloud is now supported.
- ZEN-Core SCENE IMPORT and EXPORT functions are provided.
- SuperNATURAL Acoustic Piano/Electric Piano expansion sounds (EXSN01 and EXSN02) are now supported.
- An LED Brightness function has been provided.
- A Zone Sw Indicator function has been provided.
- SCENE DOWN/UP and DEC/INC have been added to the functions assignable to the [S1] [S2] [S3] buttons.
- A Wave Tempo Sync parameter has been added to TONE.

- The PANIC function has been improved. Stopping Samples is also carried out.
PANIC function: Pressing the [SHIFT] + [EXIT] buttons transmits an All Note Off message to all parts.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO UPDATE
- FANTOM-6 / FANTOM-7 / FANTOM-8
- USB Memory
* The USB Memory need to be formatted on a FANTOM-6 / FANTOM-7 / FANTOM-8.
GETTING THE UPDATE FILE
Please open/extract the downloaded "fantom678_sys_v200.zip" file on your computer to get the update file in the "fantom678_sys_v200" folder.
PROCEDURE FOR THE UPDATE
Caution
- You must not rename the extracted files.
- Never turn off the FANTOM-6 / FANTOM-7 / FANTOM-8's power while the update is in progress.
Creating the Update USB Memory
Update Procedure
- Copy all files inside the "fantom678_sys_v200" folder to the USB flash memory's root directory (the level displayed immediately after opening the device).
Update Procedure
- Connect the USB Memory to the USB MEMORY port.
- Hold down the [ WRITE ] button and turn on the power.
The message "preparing for update..." appears at the top of the display, and the initial update starts.
* Continue to hold down the [ WRITE ] button until "preparing for update..." appears on the display.
* The update operation takes about 2 minutes. - After confirming that the message "Update (board1) End..." has been displayed, detach the USB flash memory without turning off the power.
* Do not turn off the power. - Connect the USB flash memory to any one of the EXT DEVICE jacks (1, 2, or 3).
The message "Running Update..." appears at the bottom of the display, and the update starts again.
* The update requires about 5 minutes. - After confirming that the message "Update (board2) End..." has been displayed, turn off the power.
Detach the USB Memory from the FANTOM-6 / FANTOM-7 / FANTOM-8.
This completes the update operation. The new system program runs at the next startup.
Follow the procedure for verifying the version to verify that the version has been updated.
