Please check the version of the system working on your GO-88PX before downloading the archive file.

1. Hold down [] button and press [] button.
   * Keep pressing [] button even after you take your finger off [] button.
2. After a while, the volume indicators and the buttons light up to indicate the current version.
   If those do not light as shown below, update the unit.
   If the volume indicator on the far right and [] button light up, the version is the latest. There is no need to update the unit.
3. Press and hold [] button to turn off the power.

• GO-88PX
• AC adaptor
• USB cable (Dedicated charging cables cannot be used.)
  * The update is carried out with the unit and the computer connected via USB.
  * Provide a cable suitable for connection to the computer you're using.
• Computer (Windows or Mac) equipped with a USB port compliant with USB 2.0 or USB 3.0.

• Never apply this update data to any product other than the GO-88PX. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
• Never power-off your GO-88PX while the update is in progress!
  If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the GO-88PX won't be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs.
• We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.

Please open/extract the downloaded "go88px_sys_v101.zip" file on your computer to get the "go88px_sys_v101" folder holding the file "R085_UPA.BIN".
Please make sure you have unzipped the downloaded update file.

[Caution]

• You must not rename the extracted file.
• When performing an update, be sure to connect the AC adaptor included with the GO-88PX.
• Never turn off the GO-88PX's power while the update is in progress. Otherwise the system program or the GO-88PX itself may be destroyed.

Please install the extracted system program file into your GO-88PX according to the following procedure.

1. Connect "USB Computer" port and your computer via the USB cable.
2. Hold down [] button(right part) and press [] button.
   * Keep pressing [] button even after you take your finger off [] button.
   After a while, the volume indicator on the far right blinks, and the "ROLAND_Vxxx" drive appears on your PC's screen.
3. Take your finger off [] button.
4. Copy "R085_UPA.BIN" to the root folder of the "ROLAND_Vxxx" drive.
5. When copying has finished, eject the "ROLAND_Vxxx" drive on the computer.
   [Windows] Eject the "ROLAND_Vxxx" drive according to the settings and the version of Windows you're using.
   [macOS] Drag the "ROLAND_Vxxx" icon to the Trash icon.
   * Do not disconnect the USB cable.
   [] button blinks.
6. Press [] button.
   The update begins.
   When all volume indicators blink, the update is finished.
7. Press and hold [] button to turn off the power.
