  This is the latest version of operating system for the HS-5. After downloading and extracting the compressed file, please refer to the “HS-5_System_Update_Procedure” pdf document included for the update procedure.

  The new features include:

  • The recording level can be adjusted when recording to a USB flash drive. To adjust the recording level, hold down the Record button and operate the [ A ] knob.
  • The playback level can be adjusted when playing back recorded data from a USB flash drive. To adjust the playback level, hold down the Play button and operate the [ A ] knob.

  About the UpdSMF

  • UpdSMF is a simple SMF player that runs on Mac OS X v10.7 / OS X v10.8 / OS X v10.9.
    This SMF player is designed to be used only for updating, and cannot be used to play back conventional SMF music data.
  • Before using this, you must first install a MIDI driver so that MIDI data can be transmitted.
